Jumpin' into Jamestown
Join other Jamestown rising kindergarten students and parents as we play on the playground, have a small snack, and play a few get-to-know-you games over the summer. July 8,14, 20, 26, August 4 and 10. 4:30-5:30pm Meet on the playground and we'll head into the multi-purpose room at 4:50 for snack and an activity. One parent or caregiver must attend with his/her child and stay for the duration of the playdate. To avoid allergy problems, please bring a small snack for your child as well. This is a great opportunity for your child to begin meeting other children at Jamestown, become familiar with the school and for parents to meet one another. It has been very successful in the past to help alleviate the "new school jitters" in the fall. Alex's Lemonade Stand
Jamestown will host its 4th annual Alex's Lemonade Stand at the Open House on Friday, September 3rd with lemonade and treats in the multipurpose room prepared and served by 5th graders. Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation is an organization that funds research into the prevention, treatment, and cure of pediatric cancer. All rising 5th graders are encouraged to participate in the drive by making posters, baking treats, and staffing the stand during the open house. Dine Out and Help Jamestown!!
Register your credit and debit cards at www.escrip.com. Participating restaurants and retailers will automatically donate a percentage of your purchases made on these cards to Jamestown PTA. If you are dining out choose from PIE-TANZA, The Front Page Grill, Village Bistro, and Café Oggi just to name a few. There are 130 participating restaurants within a 10 mile radius of Jamestown!!
